Prague born photographer, Stephan embodies the word versatile. He traveled the globe since a young age documenting adventures, shooting places and faces he met along the way. Finally he found his home in Bali but still travels worldwide for assignments. He specializes in fashion and art photography, commercial assignments and creative directing.
Stephan has his own, very strong visual style. His unique approach lies in precise, well though-out preparation. As he says: “For me the key to success lies in pre-production. On each project I pay attention to every detail from planning stages to execution.” As an art director himself, he prefers to take control over the whole creative process from conceptualization, location scouting, make up planning to lighting, props and set building. He is not a big fan of heavy photoshop manipulation and rather prefers to play with in-camera tricks and effects together with advanced lighting skills to create original, distinctive atmosphere. “It’s the magic of photography when all the different elements come together in one perfect frame.” He believes that getting THAT shot, requires meticulous effort and is willing to go that extra mile to get it. With an appetite to experiment and hunger for learning new things, he always wants to come up with fresh, strong ideas.
