Rory Cordz & Funkwise are a two DJ's in their own right, who over the years that have carefully helped cultivate the Discofunk collective, from humble beginnings at a gathering in a tiny basement in Kentish Town, North London in the UK in 2012. Over the last few years it has gone on to be a fully fledged pose of 20+ like minded DJ's, producers and party people centred around quality music and disco culture. Discofunk is more than the music, it's a message; one of perpetuating only positive energy, pursuing music with passion and integrity and encouraging people to 'do what they love, and love what they do!'
While the mixes online display their sound, the energy can really be felt during performances. A pinnacle display of this was in 2016 where Funkwise & Rory Cordz, being no strangers to extended sets played b2b for 15hrs in the woods at Bestival. Their sound spans from the golden era of the discotheque to deeper poolside balearic selections, and soul-infused percussive house and techno. It's this same repertoire and inherent ear to create the perfect soundscape - from laid back sunset sessions to deep and chunky late night club grooves to after hours sunrise selections.
Discofunk have hosted takeovers at some of the UK & Europe's best loved festivals including: Gotttwood (UK) , Secret Garden Party (UK), Snowbombing (Austria), Lost Festival, Hogsozzle(UK) Bestival (UK) , Aespia (UK) Craft Beer Rising, Kala(Albania), Pikes (Spain,Ibiza) & El Dorado (UK)
The two currently based in Bali are now holding down a weekly residency at Berawa's newest hot spot Vault with guest slots all over the island and beyond including: Cubic Bar (Jogjakarta), Sandy Bay Beach Club (Nusa Lembongan), Ulu Cliffhouse, Mano Beach Club, Studio Eksotika, Red Ruby & more.
